Chain Maille Bracelet Workshop!

  • 400 West Rich 400 West Rich Street Columbus, OH, 43215 United States (map)

Make your very own chain maille bracelet, while learning this ancient art from expert artist Tammi Rager. In this class, you'll be learning the centipede weave. All supplies included!

Chainmaille (also called Maille or Chain Maille) was found around the world in ancient times. It is the art of weaving individual metal rings by hand (one at a time) into a wide variety of designs and patterns. While chainmaille is often associated with suits-of-armor, chainmaille is also a beautiful form of jewelry design.

Tammi Rager has been working with Chainmaille for roughly 10 years now. She has displayed and showed her jewelry throughout the mid-west for much of this time at fairs or festivals and now in her studio at Chromedge. Tammi prefers to work with recycled aluminum rings to produce light-weight, tarnish resistant, eco- friendly jewelry. Many visitors are often surprised to discover that Tammi is the chainmailler in the studio as this is often considered an artform preferred by men… thus she is one of central Ohio’s most recognized fe-maillers.
