The first in a 6 series of hands-on, socially distanced baking workshops. This one you'll learn how to master flaky AF pastry for pies!

About this Event

Ready to be praised for your pies on the regular? This hands-on, socially distanced workshop benefiting Wild Goose Creative will be limited to 12 home bakers ready to level up their pie game.

You'll learn techniques to make flakey pie crust and avoid the dreaded soggy bottom. We will also talk about fillings and when to par bake, blind bake, or bake from raw. From this class on, you will be able to feel confident about any pie you bake.

In class, though, you'll make your very own best-ever PECAN PIE that you will want to make again and again. (If you're allergic to nuts, a Chess Pie option is available.) I will collect your request for variety before class.

What you'll receive in class that you will take home:

All Ingredients to make a single crust pie

Instructions & Recipe

A rolling pin

A pie tin

What you'll need at home (you can bake this straight from class or freeze and bake another day):

A sheet pan

An oven

Oven Mit/Hot Pads

A knife

This class requires mask-wearing. We can accept kids 10 & up if accompanied by a parent.
