Artist Interview - Judy Rush
“One single fiber is not strong, but when you put them together, twist them together in a line, not only do you start to create strength but you also start to create a lineage of information.”
Studio #13 in Chromedge
With a warm focus on the intimate, Judy’s medium is truly unique, intuitively finding her passion through creating felt art. Viewers find their identity through the forms of fabric, for each individual sees a different perspective: it can be an experience of comfort, safety, or the hope and love we find in our lives. Judy’s work reflects this theory, and she often finds it therapeutic developing this nurturing medium.
“Mostly I get inspiration from in the world. The things you wouldn’t think normally go together, go together- what does that mean, how does that happen?”
